Personal statement: Uncommon Records released Short Fuze & Nasa’s 90s sounding, yet modern, record, Lobotomy Music. It is Short Fuze’s , the emcee, debut record. Short Fuze uses the record to touch on life’s rollercoaster, religion, family and classic brag rap. It’s my first time hear Short Fuze and I instantly noticed his voice. Sounding like a mix between Method Man, Slug (Atmosphere) and a few packs of ciggarettes, Short Fuze spits some insanely dope stuff with a unique flow that is truly his. Nasa, the album’s producer, drops the gritty New York musical backdrop for Short Fuze to ge busy on. The production on the record is amazing and the lyrics Short Fuze spits do justice to the beats. My only comlaints is the beats sound the same throughout the record and Short Fuze get a little repetivie at times (mentions God and religion countless number of times). All in all, this is a dope record that should be given atleast a spin, I’d really enjoy this album in the winter time.
Note to Uncommon Records, keep making that progressive sound!
